Everything Guns and Attachments
Guns and Attachments are a pivotal choice that can determine where you place in this battle royal game. There are many different subsections of weapons. In PUBG you have 9 different choices in which to eliminate your opponents.
This list is:
- ARs or Assault Rifles
- DMRs or Designated Marksman Rifles
- SMGs or Sub-Machine Guns
- SRs or Sniper Rifles
- Shotguns
- Handguns
- Melee Weapons
- Throwables
- ETC, which has everything that doesnt fit in these categories.
While each category plays an important role, some like Melee Weapons, Throwables, and ETC, are often overlooked but can be quite impactful. To start, Melee weapons are not completely useless in a game about guns, the most obvious example for PUBG is the Pan. The Pan is a special melee weapon that actually can deflect bullets and protect your, no I am not kidding or using a euphemism, butt. This is an important melee weapon that you should always pick up given the chance. Second on the list is Throwables, which are even more important than the Pan. Throwables include Smoke Grenades, Fragmentation Grenades, Stun Grenades, and even Molotovs. These are massively important because they can, in order, afford you cover in a flat and open area, make opponents move for new cover, blind enemies and catch them off guard, and counter smokes by making them something to avoid instead of something to play around. Finally is the ETC category, which is mainly large explosives or Light Machine Guns that are uncommonly found on the ground. These are less important, with the exception of the Panzerfaust, a Rocket Launcher that can immediately destroy almost any vehicle, granted you can hit it.

In most cases people choose one of a few different loadouts, or guns with certain attachments. My personal favorite is a DMR and a close range weapon like an SMG or shotgun. Though others prefer a sniper rifle if they get satisfaction for high damage single hits. Some exceptions for these weapon choices would be the occasional lower-player map. In this case some people would pick an AR for medium to close and an SMG or shotgun for very close range. In the end though, people will choose what they are most comfortable with, even to their own detriment. As mentioned earlier, you should always be picking up a Pan whenever given the opportunity. You should also try to aim for two or more smoke grenades if you are playing in a team environment, otherwise, you could get away with no smokes and more offensive grenades. Finally you should always put the Panzerfaust in the trunk of a car, this is because it can be used to shut down car rushing attempts. Remember to always leave room for healing items like med-kits or boost items like painkillers. Having more of an item in a match that you never use, see: too many med-kits, not enough smokes for cover to use them, is always a waste of space.
